Question

Can someone help me understand my refund? I logged into TurboTax in December and it predicted my return to be about $10k, now it is only $3287, why the difference?

We would have to know what information you had entered, if it was exactly the same or not.

If you entered something even a little different, like claiming a child or had income a little less than you thought or more or had less withheld than you thought or forgot a 1095-A, you would see a drastic difference in your refund amount. Without know exactly what you entered then vs now, it would be impossible to tell.

That is really helpful and thank you for the reply. I think it was basing off of last year's information. I changed jobs, but now make less so I guess I assumed it would be a bigger refund. But probably more factors than I am realizing go into that.
