Just received a Tax Computation notice from the state of Maryland and I'm trying to confirm that if I send the w-2 which shows these witholdings, that the interest will be waived from the tax bill that they say I owe due to not attaching my corresponding w-2.

That is a question for the state to answer ... call the number on the notice if the instructions are not clear.

If the withholding was actually paid to the state by your employer and the state accepts the documentation (the W-2) that you provide that supports that, there is no underpayment of that particular withholding that would be subject to any interest.
