Can't e-file because of W-2 Box 12 letter code error

The Federal review fails with an error with W-2 Box 12 using code S - Contributions to 408 (p) SIMPLE plan, This is the code that is reported on my W-2. It mentions that the IRS has recently modified guidance for this code, apparently this hasn't been updated in TurboTax Deluxe forms yet. This review error is preventing me from e-filing my return today. When will this be corrected/updated?

This problem was finally corrected by TurboTax on 2/7/24 update, and I was able to e-file on 2/8/24. The Federal and State tax amounts calculated were unchanged.

Hard to know.

The IRS apparently made some late change (in the last couple weeks) as to how the Box 12 ,Code S is to be treated in certain situations.

TTX is working on the appropriate changes...try again each Thurs or Friday (Software updates usually come out on Wed or Thursday nights.)
