Can't import .tax2023 file from TurboTax 2023 (Desktop) to Online (2024)

I'm a long-time TurboTax Desktop user, and since Fidelity offered the Online version for free this year, I thought I'd give it a try.

I'm trying to import my .tax2023 file from TurboTax 2023, but I get the following error.

The selected file is NOT a previous year tax file or it is corrupted. Choose a different file and try again.

I have TurboTax 2023 running on my computer, and a freshly saved copy of the .tax2023 file without a password on my desktop, but I get this error when I try to import it. I don't have any special characters in the filename. I’m running macOS 15.2 and using Safari 18.2.

Am I missing something?

Thanks,
Paul

I am interested when this will be fixed as well.  Been trying for a while.

You can sign up for updates on that link.

Here is a FAQ: Why am I not able to transfer my previous year .tax file to my 2024 tax return?
