Question

Can you file a tax extension if you get Obamacare subsidies and 1095-A? Just make sure it's fine thanks!

If you don't want to do all the forms in the next few days, can I file an extension- even if I have a 1095-A to file if getting subsidies etc? Just making sure that's not an issue and there isn't some sort of filing date if you get a 1095-A.

I have to make a payment also....I did read that a payment counts as an extension as well?

Apologies for the number of questions thanks!

If you send in the paper extension form, how do you know they receive it?   Thanks!

Yes, you can file an extension if you have form 1095-A.

No, extensions are not an extension to pay. You have to pay your tax or an estimate of what you owe before the tax filing deadline.

If you mail in your extension, make sure you get some kind of receipt confirmation from your mail carrier.
