For last year and this year, I am unable to directly download my 1099 from Vanguard Mutual Funds. I receive the following pop-up error in Turbotax Desktop:

The login reguest did not contain expected OFX login data.

Anyone know of a solution?

thanks!

Interesting there is no reply or solution to this issue - a search of posts suggests this has been an issue for some time. Does anyone care?

While I cannot speak to the MAC issue as I am unfamiliar with MACs, I can at least give you a workaround if you are able to have a paper or pdf copy of your Vanguard statement available.

Delete all imported transactions if you have made any successfully, and enter the section totals as individual transactions.  There are separate sections for short-term and long-term transactions.

The IRS is concerned that you are properly reporting your total capital transactions with their associated cost basis and while individual transactions are important, the totals are the most important.  The numbers and dates included below are for example purposes only but for the transactions you may want to choose a middle of the year sale date and the various option for purchase date.
