Cannot Enter Social Security Data in Turbo Tax 2023

I am letting the Turbo Tax 2023 Program "walk me through" entering data for my annual taxes. Having gotten to the secition for Social Security, there is nothing on the page - - it is blank. Clicking "Update" yields the same result; a blank page. I can go to the Social Security Form and enter the data that way, but using the program to prompt me for data does not work at all. I have even uninstalled and reinstalled Turbo Tax 2023 with the same result.

Please clarify which product and version of TurboTax you are using. For example, desktop Home and Business or Premiere or online Premium. You should find the info in the upper left-hand corner of your TurboTax screen.

I am using TurboTax Deluxe 2023, Ver. # 23.000.0382 (Windows). AS I work through the TurboTax program, I am finding more sections which will not allow data entry unless I go to a specific form and enter the data that way. I cannot use the program's assistance in "walking" me through all the sections.

It sounds like you're in the Desktop version.

The Desktop version has two modes "Step by Step" and "Forms".
You can see this on the top right corner of your screen.
If you are in Forms mode your screen will look like the IRS form that it represents.
If you ate in Step by Step mode your screen will look like an entry format and have questions to assist with your entry.
To change modes simply click the "Forms" or "Step by Step" button at the top right of your screen.
