Cannot import pdf of 1099-R from computer

I'm using desktop TT Premier 2024.

There's an option to import Form 1099-R from various financial institutions (mine is unavailable), or enter manually. BUT I cannot see any option to upload a pdf (that I scanned) of my 1099-R from my computer!

How do I upload a pdf of my 1099-R from my computer?

Thanks

I'm surprised that you are saying manual entry is faster than uploading a pdf.

I said that manual entry is a lot faster than trying to upload a PDF that TurboTax doesn't support.

Why does TT support upload of a W2 pdf but not a 1099-R pdf?

TurboTax does not  publish the reasons for their design decisions. My guess is that one factor is that W-2s are a lot more common than 1099-Rs.

There is no way to upload a 1099-R from a PDF. Enter it manually. It will only take a couple of minutes. Manual entry will be a lot faster and easier than trying to find a way to import it from a PDF.

I uploaded my W-2 pdf and it was super-fast (much faster than manual entry) and error-free.

I'm surprised that you are saying manual entry is faster than uploading a pdf.
