cant efile

The IRS refunded my estimated tax payments after paying the stimulus.  The IRS also did a zero return for 2019 to refund me my estimated taxes.  I just tried to efile my form 1040 and it would not let me efile as it is coming up as a return already filed.  I just paid the $24.99 to efile.  Do I need to mail?  what are my choices? I need to pay my tax to.

You will need to print and mail your return this year, along with your tax.

Did you by any chance submit the non-filer submission to get the stimulus check sent to you? It sounds like that may be what happened and that's how a zero return was recorded for you?  It's too early in the season for the IRS to have prepared a zero return for you for any other reason.

That would have resulted in the return of your estimated payments because the IRS system would have assumed that you didn't intend to file a tax return this year.

If you will please contact us here: Contact TurboTax we will be happy to refund  e-File fees paid since you are not able to use that services.
