I'm trying to find a good reference for tax deduction categories. Although turbotax does give some examples, I'm not sure where to put some of these expenses. For example, I purchased a software subscription and not sure what category it should go under. Same with certain supplies and tools. Any help is appreciated.
Software I put in Office Expenses line 18. There is line 22 for Supplies which most everything can go in like materials and tools. If you can't find a category you like you can always use Other Expenses on line 27a. That's where I put small tools.
