I was not eligible for a stimulus check in 2020 due to our income based upon our 2019 married filing joint return. Now I hear there is a stimulus credit if I didn't get a check. If I file married filing separately for 2020 then my income is low enough to qualify me for the stimulus credit. Does it work that way or am I foreclosed by our 2019 federal return from getting the credit now since I didn't qualify before?
