What was the deduction of $893 for? Yes. Generally, cancelled checks or receipts are sufficient substantiation for tax deductions. You may also update the forum with more detailed information on what expenses you are trying to document.

I filed my 2019 taxes on April 15th and have not heard weather or not I will be receiving a stimulus check. I owe on my 2019 taxes as well. How long does the filing take for the IRS and should I be expecting a stimulus check?

Help.  It says my taxes were already filed yet I have no confirmation. This is my first time using and I’m confused

It depends.

If you prepared and submitted your returns through TurboTax, you can use the following link to confirm the status of your electronic filing.  If the returns were sent, you should see the status as Accepted once the IRS and state taxing agencies have your returns.

Checking E-File status

If you are getting a rejection message indicating your have already filed your tax return, you may have used the non-filer registration tool to apply for the stimulus payments.

If this is the case, you will not be able to electronically file your tax returns.  They will need to be mailed in.

Switch from E-file to mail
