Hi,

It asks me to put Date Acquired for one of the stocks I bought, SPI, I did multiple buys and sells of it.

Which date should I put?

I tried putting:

1. The first-time purchased of it

2. The last purchased date

3. Various, also small with small 'v'

Whatever I put on the page won't pass through it and I can't file my tax through the turbo

Please help.

Thanks.

I also have this issue. The date appears to be on the form already, but it asks me for the date acquired. If I enter the date, it loads, and then asks again.

I spoke with TurboTax support and they stated that it was a known issue with "Robinhood" and that it should be resolved on or before the February 24. They stated that there will likely be a page that addresses when the problem is solved, although I am unable to find an official page acknowledging the issue at this time. Without this information I was told to just keep trying until the issue was no longer happening.

Thanks for the info. But the transaction I am having a problem with is for the Webull account and the Robinhood too. I guess it does for any broker account.

Yes. This. Tried manual edit of the transaction as outlined in another thread. Has date. Still asks for date. Enter date. Asks again. Can't skip or it won't let me e-file. Already paid for product. Please post if resolution is found.

This is still an issue that has not been resolved.

we spent 4 hours trying to figure this out between ourselves and 4 calls to TurboTax with still no resolution. If TurboTax feels this is a Robinhood issue then TurboTax needs to figure it out with Robinhood or let Turbo users know that they can’t use Turbo if they have Robinhood.

Very disappointed for the first tome with how Turbo is handling this issue that has been known for at least 1 month

The Various thing did not work either

If you did like me, and repeatedly typed in a "date acquired" for a given stock sale, then you may need to do more work. I noticed when I did mine that TurboTax would always ask for the "date acquired" of the very last stock sale. If you deleted that one, then it would still ask for the "date acquired" of the second to last stock sale. And so on.

To make matters worse, I noticed as I was manually editing my stock sales, that some of the stock sales had the "date acquired" set to the one it was asking for, but TurboTax entered it into the wrong stock sale!

Essentially what this means is that you will have to manually go through every stock sale (potentially including the 'non-various' ones), and check that the date acquired is correct.

I postulate that if the "date acquired" of a stock sale is set to a date that is after the sale date, TurboTax won't proceed. Check to make sure all of your "date acquired" entries are dates that are before your sale dates.
