Do i file a circuit breaker the same way as a w2 form

    Property tax rebate?  Which state?  Did you get an actual cash rebate or did you get a reduction in your amount billed?

     Federal taxes..you can only claim the amount of real estate taxes that you actually paid.

    State.. follow the forms. They will allow you to claim any credits due.

    Would you tell me which state are you filing?

    No, you would not file the "circuit breaker" tax credit the same way. You would report the W-2 as your income in the Wages and Income section on the federal side of TurboTax. Then you would go to your state taxes and find the credit there.
