Question

City return wants me to enter W2 info for scholarship and fellowship grants but they were not W2s. What do I do in this situation?

Some cities, like Grand Rapids, Michigan, tax scholarships.

If the scholarship income is included on your federal return, that will flow to your city return.

If not, continue to a screen to enter the amount reported on Form 1098-T.
