Colorado Charitable Deductions

TurboTax put $6175 into my Colorado state tax form for 2024 charitable deductions.  I did not list charitable deductions in TurboTax, since I used the federal standard deduction and did not itemize.  Where did this number come from? How can I attach charity receipts to the Colorado form DR 1778 E-Filer Attachment Form when I did not itemize?

TurboTax transfers data from your federal return to your state return. Charitable donations are entered in your federal return, under Deductions and Credits.  Before you begin troubleshooting your state return, go back through your federal return and make sure everything is correct.

After you review your federal return, select the State Taxes tab and review the state section. Pay close attention to the information, especially if you have made changes to your federal return. There might be new sections that need to be completed. You might need to delete and restart your state return.
