Corrected W2?

I received a corrected W-2. It says Corrected on the top of the page outside of the Tax boxes. Yet the bottom of the form says W-2.

Should I file as if this is a W-2 or a W-2C?

Thanks

You will enter this exactly as a normal W-2.  Except, once you are finished, the system will show a page called Let's check for uncommon situations. Check the box for W-2 was corrected by my employer (Form W-2C).

Thanks. I saw that but the pop up from Turbotax was a bit confusing as to which one to use.

    Here is that popup

    What’s a corrected W-2?

You'll get a corrected W-2 from your employer if they made a mistake on your original W-2 and need to give you corrected information.

If you're not sure if you have a corrected W-2, take a look at the bottom of your W-2. If it’s corrected, it should say Form W-2c, Corrected Wage and Tax Statement.

If it doesn't say this at the bottom, you may have a second type of corrected W-2c that has a box at the top marked corrected. This box does not appear on standard (original) W-2s.

As I said the word CORRECTED was not in any box. I will take your advice and select corrected W-2 unless you say otherwise.

    Thanks for the quick response

That makes sense- yes, still go with the advice to use the checkbox after entering the information in the W-2 section.

    Have a great day!
