Can you tell me how much it will cost me to use TurboTax with a 1099-R Distrabution Code 1 form?

@Condor4 No, you will not be able to the TurboTax Free online edition if your Form 1099-R has a code of 1 in box 7.  That indicates an early distribution with no known exception.  So you will have a 10% early withdrawal penalty assessed on your federal tax return.

The Free edition does not support this penalty so that you will have to upgrade to the Deluxe online edition.

The fee for using online TurboTax will depend on which version you use and whether you also prepare a state return; the cost of the desktop download also depends on which version you purchase.

And just so you know—online prices go up in March—Pay your fee before then to lock in the discount

2024 TURBOTAX

You can also purchase the desktop download from various retailers such as Costco, Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, Staples, Sam’s Club, etc. etc. etc.
