Dealing with last year's RMD

Submitted request for RMD in late Dec 2022.  However, vendor did not process the request until the next week (which was in Jan 2023)  Vendor refused to issue 1099-R for 2022, but has issued one for 2023.  I used IRS form 4852 to recognize the RMD on 2022 tax return.  How do I deal with the 2023 1099-R issued for 2023?  The Turbo Tax help line suggested I ignore the 2023 1099-R, but this seems like a good way to invite an audit.  Any suggestions for how to address this on my 2023 tax return?  And, what options to select in Turbo Tax to incorporate this issue in my return?

It was a mistake for you to enter the substitute Form 1099-R on your 2022 tax return, so you must amend your 2022 tax return to remove that.  You amendment also needs to include Form 5329 requesting waiver of the excess-accumulation penalty.

The 2023 Form 1099-R is reportable and taxable on your 2023 tax return.
