under the hr 748 ..sec 2401 the law states their shall be NO OFFSET FOR anything except child support /// THE WORKERS COMP INSURANCE CARRIER CONTENDS IT'S  THEIR MONEY TO OFFSET ... i have to also go to court for this decision .... DOES THIS QUALIFY UNDER PUB 525 IRS .. DEFENDING A TAXABLE EVENT //// so my question can i write off this  ... lawyer fee ... my reference for offset is a letter from sen. josh hawley and sherrod brown directed to the US. TREASURY    ...............NO OFFSET

Sorry, but the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act(TCJA) eliminated the attorney fees deduction from 2018-2025 except for employment discriminating lawsuits.
