Depreciation Categories

I am looking at the page that says "Describe this asset" and do not see an appropriate category. I think there used to be a category for appliances. I have to depreciate the washer/dryer, refrigerator, and window blinds. The categories are 1) Computer and telephone 2) Tools and Furniture 3) Intangibles and other property (like mortgage points). Can I expense these items as well? I know you can for the blinds for under $2500.

Thank you for any guidance

Try the Tools and Furniture category to enter information about appliances being depreciated.

You can review the guidelines for deducting in full items less than $2500 and choose this option for the appliances if you qualify and want to do it that way instead of depreciating them over time.
