Question

Did my taxes but messed up on direct deposit, tried to change to address but I don’t think anything was done because it just says printed when I check status.

If you have not filed your tax return yet, you can change how you would like to receive your refund by clicking on File from the menu on the left-hand side. Step 2 in this process is where you can choose how you would like to receive your refund.

Once you have filed your tax return, there is no way to make any changes to your return including how you selected to receive your refund. You will need to wait until your return is either accepted or rejected.

If your return is accepted and the banking information is incorrect or the account is closed, generally, the IRS will mail you a check to the address on your tax return.

If your return is rejected, you can make any changes to how you are receiving your refund before filing your return again.

You can try to call the IRS at 800-429-1040 to see if you can stop the direct deposit; however, they can only do this if the return has not been posted to their system.
