Did not receive a 1099-DIV form. how do I get past the program asking for me to fill in the information for it?

Yes, you can get past this question without answering it.

In TurboTax Online, click on the left menu on Federal to return to the beginning of the Wages & Income page.

Then, scroll down to Dividends on 1099-DIV and click Edit/Add

• On the next screen, Review your 1099-DIV info, click the trash can icon next to any information you do not want in this section
• A window will open for confirmation: Are you sure you want to delete this 1099-DIV? Click Yes

In TurboTax CD/Download, click on Personal Income in the menu below the Personal Tab to return to the beginning of the Personal Income section.

Then, go back to the Dividends to make sure no form was started. If it was, delete it by following these steps:

• Scroll down to Interest and Dividends
• Select Dividends on 1099-DIV and click Update
• If there is anything started in the Here's the dividend info we have so far screen, then follow these steps:
  • click Delete and confirm the deletion by clicking Yes 
  • On the next screen followed by Done on the summary page
