First time using TurboTax. It's so difficult to use, as it's missing important instructions everywhere. And the preference setting for form scale is NOT working, the font is so small!

How do I answer this question, please??? "Did you have to itemize your deductions in 2018?"

If the question is asking did you have to itemize your deductions in 2018, then that would refer to a small group of people who used the Married Filing Separately filing status and were required to itemize deductions due to their spouse's tax return.

If the question asked did you itemize deductions in 2018, then it is just trying to determine whether you did itemize or not. Check your 2018 tax return to be sure. If you itemized, there will be a Schedule A included with your return.
