Did you make money in another state Question

I taught a course 100% online for a college in another state, while never physically stepping in that state. I got paid by that college.

I'm guessing that the question: Did you make money in another state? The answer would be YES.

Correct?

The answer MOST PROBABLY would be "NO"

That income would not be taxable to the state in which the college is located unless you could have taught the class from the physical location in the college and then that would depend on which state the college is in.

Which state is the school in?

Did the college ask you to teach remotely or did you ask the college?

    Thank you.

No, as a remote worker working for an employer located in Alabama, you, the employee, only pay tax (if applicable) to the state in which you live.

You would answer "No" to "Did you make money in another state" for that income.
