Different states

My husband as of November switched jobs and is now living and working in Kentucky but and I continue to live and work in Tennessee. Is it best for us to file married filing, joint or married filing separately?

Usually a joint return is better for the federal. See  Is it better for a married couple to file jointly or separately?

For KY, you can do a mock federal of MFS and file KY as MFS. See  How do I prepare a joint federal return and separate state
