Discrepancy in mississippi taxes with online version and software version

I have purchased the software/download for turbotax and used for years with no problems. This year there was a question on it and decided to try online version of turbo tax. When I put all my information in, the Mississippi amount is different then what I have on the software version. It is off by a couple hundred dollars. I have deleted and started from scratch on both versions and it still is the same. I have checked with the software to make sure all updates are uploaded and it has, completely updated. I have gone through and triple checked and don't see any difference in the information I have put in. The Federal is the same on both online and software. I don't want to file because I don't know which one to trust and can't find where to report to Turbotax this issue. Please guide.

If you have used the CD/downloaded version of TurboTax in past years, perhaps there was something carried over from your previous year's return that is affecting that version of your 2021 return.

I don't have any advice about what could be causing the difference other than a possible carryover amount.  Moving forward, you need to compare the two returns line by line to see where there is a difference.  You can try to do this with the CD/downloaded version of TurboTax.  Be sure to save the return you created with the CD/downloaded version with a name to remind you that it was created originally with that software.  Then, get a copy of your online tax file and open it with the CD/downloaded TurboTax and compare the two forms.

Use the steps in the following TurboTax help article to download your TurboTax Online tax file:
