Dividends Not Included with Income

Hi -

The ordinary dividends from my 1099-Div are not being included in my investments and savings income (only that from my 1099-Int). The dividends are shown correctly when I click into the Investment/Savings Income section, but the total only reflects the interest from my 1099-Int.

I had very similar numbers last year and the ordinary dividends were included in the income total, so I'm not sure what is different this year.

You can add it by hand or clear your browser and import the DIV again. Follow these steps:

Online version:

A full or corrupted cache can cause problems in TurboTax, so sometimes you need to clear your cache (that is, remove these temporary files).

For stuck information follow these steps:

  1. Delete the form 1099-DIV- if possible, see How to Delete
  2. Log out of your return and try one or more of the following:
    • Don't use Internet Explorer.
    • Clear cache and cookies,
    • Sign in using a different browser.
    • Sign in using a different device.
  3. Log back into your return.
    • Enter the information again.

Desktop version:

  1. Delete the form 1099 DIV
  2. Save your return while closing the program.
  3. Update the program
  4. Open
  5. Enter the information again.
