Do i even need to report my .00016176 mineral interest?

I don't own a percentage of the company, only mineral interest.

It depends on how much income that ownership produces. If you receive a tax form, probably 1099-MISC for it, yes, you do need to report it.

If you do not get a tax form and the amount is less than $1, you don't need to report it.
