Do I file as head of household this year as I filed as surviving spouse last year? How do I change my return to reflect that change?

Did your spouse pass away in 2018? Did you file a joint return for 2018? Do you still have dependent children? If so you can still file as a widow(er) for the next two years and get the same standard deduction that you would get on a joint return--which is better than Head of Household.

If you do not have any dependents then you cannot file as HOH. You would file Single.

Changes in filing status are entered in My Info.
