If you were still legally married as of 12/31/2021 you can only file as Married Filing Jointly or Married Filing Separately on the 2021 tax return.

If you not legally married as of 12/31/2021 you can only file as Single on your 2021 tax return.

If you not legally married as of 12/31/2021 you can only file as Single (or Head of Household, if you have a qualifying dependent).

Divorced is not a filing status.   You will either file as Single now or if you are the custodial parent of the children you may be able to file as Head of Household.   You will not file as married.  Your marital status is determined as of the end of 2021---and at the end of 2021 you were no longer married.

Am I Head of Household?

If you qualify as Head of Household, when you enter your marital status (single or married filing separately) into MyInfo, and then enter your qualifying dependent, TurboTax will offer HOH as your filing status.

One thing --- do not try to use the same account that you used to use for filing a joint return if you are no longer married.   It is too hard and messy to remove the "spouse stuff" from the account.  Start a new account with a different user ID for your 2021 return.
