Do I have to claim Interest on money from Disability I put in a savings?

I received a disability check, put it in savings and interest did accrue. Do I need to claim the interest? My Attorney said I don't claim the Disability money itself but do I need to claim Interest?

Yes, enter that under 

Wages & Income

Interest and Dividends

Interest on 1099-INT   START or UPDATE

 

The interest needn't be on a 1099-INT, you can enter just the amount without Form 1099-INT
