Question

Do I have to enter the amount of the second stimulus payment received if it was received in 2021? If I do that, I go from a $900 refund to owing over $600. Is this correct?

Yes. Regardless of the date you received the payment, you are reconciling the amounts you received on your 2020 Return. If you did not receive one or both of the stimulus payments or if the amount was incorrect, this amount will be included in your refund.

When you enter the amounts you received it can change the bottom line of your return.
