Michigan automatically grants an extension to October 15, 2024, if you don't owe, and you filed a Federal extension (make sure to attach a copy of the Federal form 4868 to your Michigan return.

Otherwise, mail Form 4 or a copy of IRS Form 4868, along with check payment, by April 15, 2024, to avoid penalties and interest, to:

Michigan Department of Treasury

PO Box 30774

Lansing, MI 48909-8274

Make the check payable to the State of Michigan, and include your Social Security number and the words Michigan Extension on the front of your check.
