Do I need to check the box "I worked outside the U.S. for an employer that wasn't the U.S. government or its agencies"?

In 2019 I worked for one and a half months for a non U.S employer in Mexico and came to the U.S in April 2019 under TN visa. I informed Mexico's Tax Administration Service about my resident change and the income I made was taxed accordingly to local tax laws on each payroll (fortnight). Since I met the criteria needed by the IRS to determine whether I qualify as a resident for tax purposes. My question is, if I need to check the box despite I paid  taxes in Mexico.

If you check the box, the program will take you through the interview section to see if you qualify for the foreign earned income exclusion or credit.  I won't have any affect on your tax liability.
