Do I need to claim a payout received from my insurance plan for critical care?
I have MetLife Critical Care and had a heart attack, this is covered by my plan and pays out 20K. Do I need to claim this on my taxes?
No, if it was a policy payout and used for qualified expenses, it is not taxable income.
