Question

Do I need to file for my child's SSA-1099 Benefits?

My daughter is 16 and receives SSA-1099 income because her dad is retired and receives SS benefits. In 2019 her benefits were $15,000. Should I have filed a tax return for her? She did not have a job or any other earned income.

No.  You don't include their income on your return. It would only go on their return if they are required to file one.  If they only get SS, SSDI or a SSA-1099 they don't have to file a return and nobody reports it.
