Question

Do I need to file missing form 8833 from last year

I was non tax resident in 2022 and missed stocks as deemed disposition when filing form 8833. I filed in Canada for the stocks though as part of departure tax report in 2022. Since I sold the stocks in 2023, do I need to file form 8833 for 2023 for the stocks? If not, can I just use the tax forms provided by investment company for the year of 2023? Thanks!

To clarify, are these American stocks or Canadian stocks?

These are US stocks I acquired back in Canada more than a year ago.

Just use the tax forms provided and enter the sales into your 2023 return.
