Do I need to go through all the regular 1040 steps if I'm filing 1040/SR?

The Form 1040 and Form 1040SR are identical except that the 1040SR has bigger type. So, yes, you still have all the same questions to answer in order to prepare your tax return.

A Form 1040-SR is Exactly the same as a Form 1040. The only difference is that the 1040-SR has a larger typeface for easier reading for seniors age 65 or older.
