Question

Do I need to report my sales on EBay if I don’t qualify for the 1099-k?What do I do if I have losses?

I have a small EBay business and made less than $20,000 in 2022 and don’t qualify for a 1099-K, but it seems weird to not report any income. Is there another way I need to report my income, and how do I report what I’ve spent on product?

You would still claim your income and expenses.

You can go directly to Business (Schedule C) and enter the income as cash and your expenses there.

E-bay was sending out 1099-K using a $600 threshold, so it is very surprising you did not get a 1099-K from e-bay.

Check with them before filing and make sure one was not issued or the IRS will look for it on your return.
