Question

Do I need to report the interest if I cashed in a CD? I didn't receive anything from the bank regarding my CD.

Yes, all income, even if it is not reported by the payer, should be reported on your tax return.

The bank is not required to send a form if the amount is less than $10.

You can find the amount of interest that your bank paid on your year end statement.

You can report that as if you got a 1099-INT  Just put the bank name as the payer and put the interest in Box 1.
