Question

Do I receive a W2 for a yearly income of less than $10?

I receive residual payments from a television show I starred in over 15 years ago. Naturally, as the years have gone on, the payments have been less and less. This year, the residual payments amounted to $8.38. Is the company required to issue me a W2? I have yet to receive it...

I've already completed my 2020 taxes with Turbo Tax, so if I don't need to wait for this W2, I will go ahead and submit. Otherwise, I will wait and add the W2 once received.

Thanks in advance for your help!

There is no minimum amount of wages that would result in a W-2 not being issued, so I would expect you to receive the W-2. For practical purposes however, it probably won't affect your income tax significantly, so if you did not report the W-2 income there would probably be no negative consequence to it.
