How do I report $297 in box 9 of form 1040

Box 9 of Form 1040 is actually a line item that is calculated from your input. You cannot enter an amount in this line.

Your input to generate this line will be done in the Federal interview section of TurboTax.

All income items are entered under the Income & Expenses section in the federal interview section.

You will see separate input areas for each respective source of income.

Simply select Add or Edit to the right of your applicable source of income to report this amount on your 1040 Form.
