Should I report my Supplemental Security Income as Nontaxable Income under the State Taxes?
It depends. SSI is not reportable or taxable on your Federal tax return. Sometimes, for state tax returns, it is reportable because it's used to determine whether you qualify for certain tax benefits. You can contact the State Department of Revenue or check their website.
