Question

Do you have to file a 1099-R and 1095-C? And does it help with how much you get back on your refund?

Yes you have to enter your 1099R.  No you do not enter the 1095C.

To enter your retirement income, Go to  Federal> Wages and Income>Retirement Plans and Social Security>IRA  401 k) Pension Plan Withdrawals to enter your 1099R.

The 1099R shows retirement income of some kind---which is taxable---so enter it carefully and make sure to enter any tax that was withheld.
