Do you know why I have to pay 4 times more to the the state than the federal government, why?

There can be multiple reasons for that. If you have received Form W-2, please look at Box 2 and Box 17. Box 2 will show the amount of Federal Income Tax Withheld and Box 17 shows the State Income Tax Withheld. It is possible that sufficient withholding was done for Federal Taxes but not enough was done for State Taxes.

Additionally, there are deductions which you may have taken which are allowed to be taken for Federal Taxes but not allowed for State Taxes depending on the state you live in. Additionally, it is possible that you may have received some credits which are permitted for Federal purposes but not for state. For example ,if you received Child Tax Credit, it would have lowered your Federal Taxes but not State.
