Question

Does anyone know how I can find out how much my employers insurance paid me during my paid family leave?

If you are in California, Paid Family Leave paid by an insurance company should be reported to you on a W-2 issued by the insurance company. Did you not receive it?

If your "paid family leave" was reported on your employer's W-2, then you have to ask your employer if any of this was paid by an insurance company as part of a paid family leave policy.

If the company paid the "paid family leave" itself, then in California it is not considered Paid Family Leave and is taxable in the state.

Note that if you are in California, then the amount you enter as paid family leave in the California interview is ONLY the amount of your employer W-2 that was actually paid by the insurance company. In most cases, there was no insurance company, just employer funds, so you must enter zero, so that the amount will be taxed in California.
