Question

Does anyone know how to enter a 1099-K if you are not self employed?

I received a sales incentive from a company I resell for my employer through a payment card company. It is large enough to need to claim as wages. I am not in any way self employed but turbotax is trying to get me to fill out as such which is causing issues. Can I enter it as a 1099-MISC? If so, how?

If this income needs to be reported as wages not reported on the W-2, then here are your steps:

Federal tab

Income & Expenses

Scroll down to Less Common Income

Select Miscellaneous Income

Other Income not already reported on a Form W-2 or Form 1099

Go through the interview answering the questions.
