Question

Does anyone know of form 8582? I cannot e-file because this form is on my taxes, and I do not see how.

You don't say what state you're filing in, but there is a known issue regarding this form and the state of Maryland.  I'll share the article below that I think may apply to your situation.  The issue is under investigation.

 

Why is TurboTax generating form 8582 when I have no passive activity loss in the state of Maryland?

Form 8582 is used to figure the amount of any passive activity loss.

 

If this is in your Maryland tax return, our team is working to resolve an error message in some Maryland state returns that gives an error message about Form 8582 needing an update, even if there are no passive losses to report.
