Does anyone know where I put my information for the DR-1703 for the Early childhood educator income tax credit?

Yes, you can claim the Early Childhood Educator Credit in the "Credits and Taxes" sections of your CO state interview.  There you will enter the information contained in your Credential Certificate.

Once you have entered that information in TurboTax you need to complete the rest of the "Credits" section to arrive at a page where you will indicate how you will submit your Credential Certificate.

  1. You can upload to the Revenue Online website here after e-filing your return or
  2. Mail in with your return if you print/mail your return or
  3. Mail the certificate in with a form DR1778 after e-filing your return.

The mailing address is:

Colorado Department of Revenue
Denver, CO 80261-0006

Thank you. I went in and looked but I can’t locate where I need to enter the information in the section of the credits and tax breaks. Is it labeled under a certain one in that section?

Yes. It is in the Credit section. Following these steps:

  • Open TurboTax account
  • State
  • Start states taxes
  • Continue to “Take a look at Colorado credits and taxes.”
  • Personal, home, and family credits
  • Early Childhood Educator Credit > Start/Revisit
  • Answer “Yes”
  • Enter the credentialing level
  • Answer “Yes” to the next two questions on the screen, “Enter Your Childhood Educator Credit.”
